On Sept. 21, 2019, the Wells County Historical Society and the community dedicated a new state historical marker in the county, with the help of the Indiana Historical Bureau. The date marked the 109th anniversary of the deadliest Interurban crash in American history, which occurred near Kingsland in northern Wells County.
Corresponding the dedication with the Bluffton Free Street Fair, the society had a display about the crash in the Industrial tent.
