History of Wells County Schools

Volunteers were busy at the recent Wells County Senior Expo selling the recently released book, the History of Wells County Schools. The newly released book, History of Wells County Schools is now available for $50.00 at the museum during normal hours or by e-mailing: mchotopp@gmail.com

Christmas in the Mansion

Bringing the county’s history to life

Each year the Wells County Historical Society hosts a Cemetery Walk, bringing former county residents to life and bringing attention to the cemeteries those people are buried in. Museum accepts courthouse cannon

In June 2018, the Wells County Historical Society accepted a Civil War-era cannon that was on the county courthouse plaza for years. It was relocated due to the plaza construction project that was completed in late 2019.Below are photos and a Facebook video from the event.
