The Wells County Historical Museum is excited to host the “Local History Series” this Spring season as a part of the Bluffton Parks Department’s Senior Snippets Program which is held at various locations and on a variety of interesting topics. Space is limited with some sessions, so make plans and call 824-6069 or e-mail events@blufftonindiana.gov to register. The first session at the museum will be Wednesday, April 17, 10:00am. Topic will be a unsolved murder from nearly 100 years ago in Wells County. * Photo is the “Lady Justice” stained glass art work located at the Wells County Circuit Court, Bluffton.

The 2nd session will be Wednesday, April 24, 10:00am and the topic will be “Hair Art” from the late 1880’s – early 1900’s.

The history of Miller Airport, located southwest of Bluffton will be topic of the 3rd session on Wednesday, May 1, 10:00am.

Wednesday, May 8, 10:00am will be the 4th session on local history. The topic will be the history of the Grover Sheets American Legion Post 111 in Bluffton.

The 5th and final session will be on Wednesday, May 15, 10:00am. topic will be “The Ghost of the Bluffton Waterworks.” Fact or fiction, make plans to attend. Call the Bluffton Parks Department at 824-6069 to reserve a seat. The programs are free and open to the public.
